Saskatchewan Housing has been working on
up-dating the condition and energy efficiency of numerous buildings.
This tower in Northern Sask was awarded in 2 phases, half of it now
and the second half in spring of 2004.
This 9 storey building
needed replacement of aluminum slider windows which become a
problem.
The New windows have a number of unique
features:
Pultruded Fiberglass Awning, In-ward
Hopper/AC and Fixed windows.
AFG Ti-R e (Surface 2 for
control solar heat gain)/Argon insulating glass with warm edge Super
Spacer.
SECOND hopper insert c/w Air
Conditioning tray.
Allows custom sizing of AC insert per tenant.
Allows full glass to be in place during the summer.
Custodial lock ensures unit cannot be changed without
Management direction.
Custom aluminum perimeter to
suit jamb depth and frame/masonry off-set. Allows simpler, better
seal from exterior. Efficiency of casing attached directly to
interior frame.
