Manufacturing Engineer

DUXTON is presently looking for a professionally qualified full time Manufacturing Engineer. This individual will have key responsibilities in improving manufacturing processes, performing engineering analyses, administering certifications/testing, and design new products or component improvements. The individual would also have responsibilities to produce AutoCAD shop drawings and provide hands-on support to assist the Plant Supervisor.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and sourcing tooling, jigs, and equipment
  • Designing and developing new products
  • Producing AutoCAD shop drawings
  • Developing production processes
  • Administering window and door testing and meeting compliance requirements – simulations and physical testing
  • Reviewing commercial specifications and producing structural analyses
  • Material assessments
  • Contributing to weekly Continuous Improvement program

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years experience in the industry
  • Strong technical skills with a passion for manufacturing
  • Graduate of a college or university engineering program. EITs may be considered depending on relevant industry background.

Junior Shipper/Receiver

DUXTON Windows & Doors is looking to hire a Shipper/Receiver with experience driving a forklift, effective immediately. Compensation includes access to a group benefits package. Wages are negotiable depending on experience and ability.

Job description:

  • Help coordinate the flow of inbound and outbound shipments
  • Complete paperwork relating to inbound and outbound shipments
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Help to keep materials/inventory organized
  • Keep the lot clear and organized
  • Majority of the work is conducted outdoors or on the loading dock

Requirements:

  • Experience operating a forklift
  • Excellent multitasking
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift heavy loads
  • Reliable and organized
  • Hard worker

Office Administrator and Marketing Support

DUXTON Windows & Doors is looking to hire a full-time Office Administrator with a Marketing Support role to evolve over time. This position would be ideal for someone recently graduating from a post-secondary program, or looking to develop their career in a creative office environment. Primary responsibilities include office administration and reception but there are opportunities for advancement within the company, particularly in marketing, but may involve sales or production support.

Qualities for Success:

  • Good with the public
  • Detail-oriented
  • Energetic and able to multi-task
  • Trustworthy
  • Very strong familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Experience in an office environment
  • Knowledge of marketing and/or graphic design (relevant post-secondary is an asset)

Reception Responsibilities:

  • Reception, including answering phones, attending to walk-in customers
  • Opening mail and matching invoices with packing slips
  • Filing or scanning paperwork
  • Track stock of office supplies and reorder as needed
  • Manage appointments and travel arrangements
  • Event planning for special events and monthly town halls
  • Keeping the office and kitchen clean and organized

Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Booking and promoting trade shows
  • Assisting in designing new product displays and signage
  • Creating content for print literature, the website, and social media
  • Assisting in costing, printing, and mailing literature

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing further sales accounts within the province

  • Working from a home office, with the potential to open a Saskatchewan office as local business grows

Window & Door Assembler

DUXTON is currently looking to fill several full-time positions with candidates experienced in window and door manufacturing.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Cutting raw material
  • Assembling frames
  • Installing hardware and aluminum or PVC accessories
  • Glazing large triple pane units
  • Fabricating swinging doors and custom shapes
  • Using equipment and tools such as levels, measuring tapes, caulking guns, chop saws, table saws, routers, CNC equipment on occasion, etc.
  • Participating in Continuous Improvement projects

Precise tasks will depend on the experience of the candidate.

Supervisory responsibilities may be available for individuals with the relevant industry experience.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years working hands-on in manufacturing or construction is required. Preferably in the window and door manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to read and understand measurements, blueprints and work orders
  • Reliable
  • Comfortable with standing during work hours and some heavy lifting

Regular working hours are 7 am - 3:30 pm. Group benefits are also offered to staff following the first 6 months. Compensation is dependent on experience.

AutoCAD Technician

DUXTON Windows & Doors is looking to hire a full time AutoCAD Technician. This person should be very comfortable with AutoCAD, detail-oriented, and familiar with basic methods of construction. The position would ideally evolve to include design of products, components, and jigs.

Responsibilities:

  • AutoCAD shop drawings, including elevations and cross sections
  • Producing architectural drawings and installation details
  • Assisting in new product development and product design
  • Designing jigs for use in production

Qualifications:

  • Very detail-oriented
  • Self-motivated
  • Basic understanding of construction and manufacturing processes

Compensation is competitive and dependent on experience, with the possibility of both overtime and bonuses on the basis of performance. Group benefits are available to all staff.
