Door Frame:

Made with 4 ½" pultruded fiberglass lineals
Re-inforced with ¾" Fir veneer core plywood on vertical jambs
Styrofoam inserts installed in frame cavity
Injection molded plastic corners are used and fastened in place with screws, spray foam is used to fill cavity inside corner
Composite block 4" long is installed at bottom of vertical jamb to provide life-long protection against rot
Hinges and strike plates are mortised into the frame
Pre-finished in white urethane paint with satin sheen

Weather-stripping:

Polyurethane foam compression weather-strip on door jambs and header
Fixed vinyl Kerf-in sweep is attached to bottom of slab, sweep is bronze in colour

Hinges and strikes:

Standard hinge is a steel HD 4 x 4 with ball bearings plated with mirror finish brass
Optional hinges are available in steel with 11 different finishes, stainless steel, extruded solid brass with 3 different finishes included PVD brass, all come with ball bearings
Adjustable strike plates are factory installed and are available in solid brass, stainless steel, black nickel
An strike is installed for both the latch and deadbolt

Sill:

Subsill is made with composite material that is rot and insert proof
Sill cap is made with Walnut colour PVC that is adjustable with integral screws are spaced @ 12" on center, PVC caps are installed over adjustment screws to provide finish appearance, Sill cap is replaceable in the case of damage
Aluminum threshold is available in a number of widths from 4 9/16" to 10" by using different sill extensions, a one piece threshold is used for 4 5/8" and 6 5/8" jamb thicknesses, the threshold is available in standard mill finish with optional bronze, brass and satin nickel finishes available
Outswing sills are the same as the inswing sills but the adjustable sill cap is replaced with a fixed bumper style cap to allow the door panel to "bump" against the sill providing the weather sill, this cap is available in a standard low profile (total sill thickness of 1 ¼") or high profile (total sill thickness of 1 7/8") to provide maximum protection against water

Door panel:

Designer Arch Fiberglass Series: comes with either a smooth or oak-grain surface, both types or surfaces come ready to be stained or painted unless a factory finish option is used, interior void is filled with polyurethane foam to provide R14 insulation value, a cellular PVC edge is used around the complete edge of the slab to provide a rot, water, & insect proof panel, panel thickness is 1 ¾"

Standard Drilling:

Standard pre-drilling of panel is 2 ¾" or 2 3/8" backset with 2 1/8" dia. holes drilled 5 ½" on center apart
1 ½" deadbolt hole is also available

Clear glass is available with many different kinds of Low E, argon gas, an a number of different colour warm edge spacer to fit the project

Grilles are available in between the glass in a number of different sizes and shapes, SDL (simulated divided lite) grilles are also available using a black shadow bar between the glass and aluminum, cellular PVC, or wood-grain urethane bars adhered to the surface with VHB tape. SDL grilles are available in a number of different profiles and widths.

Finish Options:

Frames and panels are available with a factory applied water-borne polyurethane paint
Paint colours are available in standard colours to match Gentek trim colours, and other standard colours from different window manufacturers
